Treatment for substance use disorders at Long-Term Residential facilities

Effective October 1, 2019, treatment for substance use disorders at Long-Term Residential (LTR) facilities are a covered benefit for members who are enrolled in the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), the Fully Integrated Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (FIDE-SNP) and Managed Long Term Services & Supports (MLTSS).

LTR treatment facilities provide inpatient addiction treatment for individuals that need a 24-hour supportive environment who meet ASAM 3.5 placement criteria. Members are also covered for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) at LTR treatment facilities.
